Welcome to the official site of Mme Griffin’s French I class for Spring 2008.

In French I, you will learn basic vocabulary and basic grammar structures, as well as cultural information about the French-speaking world.

You may be surprised to realize that we get many of our words and expressions from the French. In fact, English-speaking countries all over the world are influenced by French. Ever wondered why we say things like “R.S.V.P.” and “Mayday” ? Or maybe you’re curious why the English call the bathroom the “loo” ? The overwhelming influence of French in the English language makes it just that much easier for us to learn!
